In the early 2000s the brothers JR Deep & Guilherme Lopes became the new rising Brasilian Drum`n`Bass stars, building up a great reputation even far beyond their own scene. Apart from many fine productions and releases they had a major club hit with their version of Jorge Ben`s Take It Easy My Brother Charles (Easyboom) that reached no. 3 in the BBC Radio1 all winner charts in 2004 and was included on Gilles Petersons Worlwide compilation. They did remixes for the City Of God soundtrack, Mitchell & Dewbury a.o. and grabbed a lot of attention for a cooperation with Mark De Clive Lowe and Bembe Segue which was presented on some sold out shows in the UK, summer of 2006. Later that year their Vinyl Vibes Records release Night In Tunisia became a huge hit on dance floors all over the globe and our quickest selling record ever with an initial run of 1.000 copys being sold out within less than a week! Drumagick did another Vinyl Vibes release with a remix of the Ed Eustace and Stee Downes tune Disciples as a digital bonus track for the first Modern Clubber EP. This lovely Broken Beats treatment also reflected their development into more diverse music productions beyond their original D´n`B roots. Early 2010 their 3rd Album Dance Box will be the first one to be released outside of Brasil. It takes you on a journey through many different styles including House, Broken Beats, Drum`n`Bass and modern Samba Beats. Watch out for more great music to follow as the two brothers are always good for a suprising move in sound or a spectacular new release. Also don`t miss your chance to catch them on tour as they are fantastic DJs and interpret the freestyle idea in their very own way.
